TN Governor's appeal to detective agencies
Chennai, June, 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala today urged detective agencies to lend a helping hand to root out the menace of terrorism in the country.
Inaugurating the Tamil Nadu Chapters' of Association of Private Detectives of India and the Central Association of Private Security Industry here, he exhorted private detective agencies in the country to take up the 'onerous responsibility' of safeguarding the nation from terrorists.
''The detective agencies should extend a helping hand to put an end to terrorism. It was the duty of the detective agencies to share any information they had on any person involved in such activities, which could disturb the peace and security of the nation'', he said.
The Private detective agencies must monitor the movements of anti-social elements and anti-national activists and remain as a useful source of information for law-enforcing agencies, he said.
