Seven killed, 7 injured in jeep-truck collision

Pune, June 11 (UNI) Seven people were killed and seven injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Pune-Solapur road this afternoon.

Police said the jeep was on its way to Pune, while the truck was enroute to Solapur.

The deceased were identified as Tanaji Sahadu Giri (30), his wife Sapna (25) residents of Sukhsagar, Vishal Dashrath Sakhare (13) a resident of Somwar Peth, Sulochana Arun Karande (35) of Akolaj Solapur, Anil Saudagar Taktode (23) resident of Kurudwadi, Santosh Vilas Garave (25) and Sandeep Arun Veer both residents of Indapur.

Futher investigations are on, police added.
