OJP MLA denounce ban on CPI (Maoist) and frontal organisations

Bhubaneswar, Jun 11 (UNI) Orissa Gana Parishad(OGP) MLA Arun Dey today described the state government's decision to ban CPI(Maoist) and its seven frontal organisation as an desperate attempt of Naveen Patnaik government to hide its failure in all fronts.

In a statement here,Mr.Dey said the orissa governmment also wanted to hide its rampant corruption in social sector,particularly in the development of the Adivasa in KBK region.

He said the naxalites and the frontal organisations have unmasked the state government's failure in mitigating the problems of the tribals.so also the case of other political parties.

Stating that the naxalites were the only democratic force of the downtrodden, Mr Dey said the decision to ban the organisation would be a direct onslaught in the democratic movement of the underdogs.

The OGP MLA said the government instead of resorting to direct action against the naxalites and their frontal organisations should try to findout the solution and ensure that the real development reach the targetted people.

Mr Dey the attempt of government would prove futile and cautioned that the naxalite activities would bound to grow notwithstanding the ban imposed on them.
