Mercury rises to 37.8 Deg C in Bengal, people suffer in hot

Kolkata, Jun 11 (UNI) Unpredictable hot conditions continued to prevail in the city for the second day today as the mercury rose to 37.8 degrees Celsius, more than 5 degrees than yesterday.

People since yesterday were facing unbearable heat condition with tremendous humidity and no sign of rain, although overcast sky.

Though monsoon already arrived in Bengal, about a week before than scheduled, but there was no sign of rains, MET office said today.

MET office said while mercury was recorded to 37.8 degress celsius, the minimum temperatrue was 27.9 degrees and the humidity was 94 per cent.
