I am a better railway minister than Nitish: Lalu

Patna, June 11 (UNI) Rail Minister Lalu Prasad today claimed that he proved himself as a better railway minister than his predecessor Nitish Kumar.

Concluding Inter Railway Cultural programme here, Mr Prasad said the Railways had witnessed a turned around under his stewardship and congratulated the railway personnel for their sincere services for making the largest public undertaking a profit earning organisation.

He said he would not revise the railway fare despite hike in the price of diesel and assured that railway employees would not be retrenched.

He also honoured the artistes with cash awards.
