Haryana Congress MLA withdraws resignation after CM assurance

Ambala, June 11 (UNI) Congress MLA D K Bansal, representing the Ambala Cantt constituency, today withdrew his resignation from the state assembly and reposed full confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh.

Mr Bansal had sent his resignation to the CM yesterday to protest against discrimination meted out to his constituency in allotment of funds for development schemes and projects.

Addressing mediapersons in the presence of Power Minister Vinod Sharma announced that he had withdrawn his resignation after a telephonic talk with the CM, who had assured him of full cooperation and tofulfill his demands. Mr Bansal that the CM had also promised that all the problems would be solved in larger interests of the people of the constituency.

Mr Sharma had come here on the directions of the CM to persuade Mr Bansal to withdraw his resignation.

Mr Sharma said that the Cantt MLA had been invited to Chandigarh on June 13 to meet the Chief Minister and discuss his demands.
