FIFA, AFC to give 700,000 dollar to Pak for football facilities
Lahore, June 11 (UNI) FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will give Pakistan 700,000 dollar for football-related facilities in the areas affected by the October 8 earthquake.
FIFA has promised 500,000 dollar while the AFC's contribution would be 200,000 dollar to promote football in the quake-hit areas, The News reported today quoting Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Faisal Saleh Hayat.
Hayat attended the 56th Ordinary FIFA Congress at Munich on June 7 and 8.
The PFF president said a technical delegation of FIFA will soon visit Pakistan to start five football related projects in those areas which were badly hit by the earthquake. He said FIFA chief assured his cooperation to help in rehabilitation work of the quake victims.
Hayat added that FIFA president had promised him to visit Pakistan after October to inaugurate FIFA Football House here.
