CLTA trainee Kinshuk wins tennis title in Uzbekistan

Chandigarh, June 11 (UNI) Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) trainee Kinshuk Sharma won the doubles event in 10th Namagam ITF Juniors G-3 tennis tournament which concluded today in Tashkant, Uzbekistan.

Kinshuk and his Uzbek partner Rifat Biktyakov defeated Vikram B Reddy and Ashwin Vijay Raghwan of India in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, a CLTA source said.

Earlier in the semi-finals, the Indo-Uzbek pair upset top seed pair of Cho Soong Jae and Lim Yong Kyu of Korea 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-4.

In the singles event, Kinshuk, however, lost to top seed and eventual tournament winner Vaja Uzakov in the semi-finals.
