Bihar ministers to get swanky cars soon

Patna, Jun 11 (UNI) The long wait for swanky cars for Bihar ministers might come to an end soon as the government had expedited the matter in this regard.

Official sources here said the total expenditure on the new fleet of cars would be over Rs 3.24 crore.

The cost of purchasing cars would be met from the State Contingency Fund (SCF) as the state government had not made any provision under this head, official sources said.

The government besides placing orders for luxary cars and also ordered for 'robust' vehicles in view of pot holed roads in the rural areas.

The government would buy 57 luxary vehicles, two each for every one of the 26 ministers and five for the Chief Minister, sources said.
