Armed miscreants loot 12.5 lakhs in state capital
Bhubaneswar, Jun 11 (UNI) Three armed miscreants today looted Rs 12.5 lakhs from a fish trader at gun point near a mosque in the state capital.
Police said the businessman carrying the huge cash in a suitcase was proceeding from the local market to the Bhubaneswar Railway station when the three armed miscreants intercepted the vehicle and looted the money at gun point.
The businessman was on way to board a train to Andhra Pradesh.
He was injured while trying to prevent the miscreants.
The police on being informed about the incident rushed to the site and sealed all the exit points but failed to nab the miscreants.
They later detained the driver of the vehicle and interrogated him in connection with the incident.
