AP Dist stands first in distribution of house sites

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 11 (UNI) Chittoor District has stood first in the distribution of house sites under the INDIRAMMA Scheme.

After a review meeting with MROs here, Joint Collector Rajendra Prasad told mediapersons 81,000 of the targeted 98,000 houses had already been handed over to the beneficiaries.

The remaining 17,000 sites will be given away by the month end.

On distribution of ration cards, he said only 36 per cent of the target had been achieved so far and the officials directed to ensure at least 50 per cent coverage.

He had also ordered MROs to inspect petrol bunks and check if they were issuing bills.They were also asked to prevent unauthorised sale of petroleum products.

Mr Prasad also warned of stringent action against mineral water units which lacked ISI certification.
