Two arrested for murdering village sarpanch's brother in Akola

Akola, June 10 (UNI) Bhatori village sarpanch's elder brother was brutally murdered over an old dispute at Murtizapur tehsil area in this district yesterday.

The deceased identified as Namdeo Nidan Wankhede, was at the bus stand when the assailants attacked him with knife in broad day light and injured him seriously.

Locals immediately rushed him to Murtizapur General hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Two of the four accused - Prashant Wankhede and Sukhdeo Wankhede - have been arrested while the other two assailants Vikram Kukde and Bhavan Wankhede are absconding, police said.
