Six people feared drowned in Kanva river near Bangalore
Bangalore, June 10 (UNI) Six pilgrims were feared drowned when an overcrowded country boat capsized in Kanva River near Ramnagar, 65 km from here, today.
Police said 11 people were using the boat, against its capacity of five, to cross the river when the mishap occurred. However, five people swam to safety.
The victims had visited a temple to attend puja by bus. However, they opted to return by boat and met with a watery grave.
Rescue teams were rushed to the spot and bodies were yet to be recovered.
