Roadside bomb kills 3, wounds 28 in Baghdad-police
BAGHDAD, June 10 (Reuters) A roadside bomb today killed three people and wounded 28 others in a crowded Baghdad market, police sources said.
The bomb targeted a police patrol near a restaurant in the al-Sadriya market in central Baghdad, but the dead were all civilians, they added.
Insurgents often mount bombing attacks as part of a campaign to topple the US-backed, Shi'ite-led government.
US and Iraqi officials have warned that the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, in an air strike north of Baghdad on Wednesday would not end guerrilla and sectarian violence plaguing Iraq.
