Palak in Cadbury Bournvita Confidence Champion contest

Indore, June 10 (UNI) Little singer Palak Muchhal, who hails from this city and has financially aided cardiac surgery on hundreds of children, is the only girl in the top six of the all-India Cadbury Bournvita Confidence Champion contest under way in Singapore.

To discover those who excelled in academics and are achievers -- nationally and internationally -- in their proven skill, Cadbury India Ltd and Derek O'Brien and Associates are a step away from identifying the first Cadbury Bournvita Confidence Champion, a release said yesterday.

From over a lakh students across India, six finalists were selected, including 'Yeh Tara Woh Tara' fame Vignesh Chandrasekar of Chennai, visually-impaired singer Diwakar Sharma, Delhi-resident World Under-10 Chess Champion Sahaj Grover, Bangalore-resident mrudangam player Kiran Pathakota and skater Tanamay Shah from Mumbai.

The judges are Kavita Krishnamurthy, Dr L Subramaniam and Rohini Hattangadi. As the competition intensifies, the top six will face fresh and exciting challenges. The first of the Singapore series will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television on June 16 at 1930 hrs with a repeat telecast on June 18 at 1030 hrs.

At the end of seven episodes, the top four will be selected.

Finally, the judges will crown the first Confidence Champion on the basis of SMS votes.
