No proposal to reduce price of petroleum products: Chouhan

Vidisha, MP, Jun 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said cost petroleum products can come down only if the Centre lowers the prices.

Mr Chouhan told reporters here the state government had no proposal before it to lower the prices of petroleum products' by reducing taxes.

Replying to a question, Mr Chouhan said efforts were being made to meet the deficit in supply of manure and seeds.

The agriculture department had been directed to take every possible step in this regard.

Mr Chouhan said provision will be made by government departments for examination of quality of products being purchased from outside the state.

Besides, efforts would be made that the government departments purchase materials from state-based industries, he added.
