Naxals blast MRO office near police station in AP

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, June 10 (UNI) Armed naxalites today blew up the office of Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) of Bayyaram mandal near the local police station in Bayyaram here today.

According to police, some armed naxalites came to the MRO's office and asked the watchman to leave. Later some naxals fixed detonators inside the building while others took guard outside. They blasted the building and razed it to ground. The furniture and records in the building were totally destroyed. The naxalites immediately disappeared from the scene.

Police which rushed to the place, found one unexploded detonator at the blast scene. Search is on for the naxalites.
