KRIBHCO's argon recovery plant to come up in Hazira
Surat, Jun 9 (UNI) Union Minister for Chemicals, Fertilizers and Steel, Ramvilas Paswan will lay the foundation stone of argon recovery plant at Krishak Bharati Co-operative Limited's Hazira complex here tomorrow.
The project with a total cost of Rs 96 crore is expected to achieve commercial production by October 2007, said Managing Director of KRIBHCO V N Rai here today.
According to the KRIBHCO sources, Argon is an inert gas and is used extensively in the making of secondary steel and metal fabrication. The demand of the argon is on the rise along with the growth of steel industry.
Argon recovery plant will recover argon from the purge gas of ammonia plant to produce ultra pure argon, KRIBHCO sources added.
