Chambal Fertilisers get Eco-innovation award

Chandigarh, Jun 10 (UNI) Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) received the coveted Golden Peacock Eco-innovation Award at the 8th World Congress of the World Environment Foundation at Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh presented the prestigious recognition. Mr S K Thakur, Head Marketing, Punjab, received the award on behalf of the company yesterday a company release said here.

The Eco-Innovation Award was given to Chambal fertilisers and Chemicals Limited for its eco-friendly product ''Vriksha Mitra''. It is a bio-fertiliser that activates soil nutrients like Phosphorus, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium and Silicon. This enhances soil health and increases the yield of the crop. Vriksha Mitra also enhances the resistance to diseases in crops.
