ACB raids A'bad house, lockers of Pune University Engineer
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, June 10 (UNI) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) here today raided the house and bank lockers of an Executive Engineer of Pune University and seized an accountable property worth Rs 15 lakh.
The ACB sources told UNI here this evening that a 20-member team of ACB officials comprising eight officers and 12employees conducted a search operations on the house and bank lockers of the Pune University's Executive Engineer Rameshchandra Waghmare late last night as well as today.
The ACB has seized about one kg of gold and about 25 kg silver during their search operation, the ACB sources said.
The ACB, Pune had arrested Mr Rameshchandra Waghmare after he was trapped by them while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a building contractor to sanction a construction tender of a university in Pune yesterday, the ACB sources said.
''We have seized gold, silver, and valuable sarees amounting to Rs 15 lakh from the house and bank lockers of Mr Waghmare in Aurangabad, while search operation was still on,'' ACB official involved in the search operation told UNI.
