200 kg football on display to promote soccer

Bangalore, June 10 (UNI) With the football fever catching on, he has hit upon a gargantuan idea to promote the sport, despite not being an avid soccer fan.

Suhail Yusuff, a businessman, has exhibited a 200 kg football, imported from Bangkok, in front of his shop on the busy Brigade Road here.

''I am not a football player or fan, but I felt something innovative has to be done to promote the game, with the World Cup beginning yesterday,'' Mr Yusuff told UNI.

Besides the huge ball, which is eight fed in diametre, flags of all the World Cup participating countries and 40 footballs of small size have been showcased.

Mr Yusuf, however, declined to divulge the expenditure incurred for fulfilling his novel idea.
