Nepal talks with Maoists should have no impact on India: Advani

NEW DELHI, JUNE 9 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition and senior BJP leader L K Advani today said that Nepal government's talks with Maoist groups shoud have no impact on Indian internal security.

After a 40 minute meeting with visiting Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, he said he had expressed his concerns about the growing Maoist activities and its implications on law and order situation.

Welcoming the revival of multi party rule in the Himalayan Kingom, Mr Advani, however, noted that Nepal's welfare in being a Consitutional or ceremonial monarchy.

Without attaching much importance to Nepal proclaiming itself as a 'secular state', Mr Advani said "It's like India, a Hindu-majority nation. It was secular nation when it called itself Hindu kingdom".
