Gsk to set up S$300 mln plant in Singapore by 2010
New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) In a bid to strengthen its presence in Asia, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), today said it will set up its first vaccine manufacturing plant in Singapore by 2010, with an investment of 300 million Singaporean dollars.
The plant, which will be operational in 2010, is GSK's biggest vaccine investment in Asia and will be the first such facility in Singapore.
The company will spend more than 300 million Singaporean dollars over the next four years, in the first phase of development of the plant dedicated to the primary production of paediatric vaccines.
More than 200 jobs will be created to support this facility at the Tuas Biomedical Park.
