Panaji, June 9 : Close on the lines of Punjab, Goa government has requisitioned the services of a web developer for building a comprehensive portal for networking of all non-resident Goans (NRGs), both in India and abroad, to take care of their welfare and needs.

Secretary to the Commissioner for NRI Affairs, J K Dadoo told mediapersons here today that the Punjab-based 'technorite onsultants' has been asked to develop the portal at the earliest, which could serve as a single window system for even clearing all the investment proposals of the NRGs.

"The portal would bring all the NRGs closer and promote sale and purchase of their properties, help legal transactions, including issue of certain certificates of approval online," Mr Dadoo said.

This would go a long way in developing a database of all the NRGs spread across the globe. The portal is expected to be ready within a month, he added.
