'Alag' to premiere at IIFA festival in Dubai

Mumbai, June 9 (UNI) Ace photographer Subi Samuel's debut film 'Alag' (different), as producer, will be premiered at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) festival in Dubai scheduled to begin on June 14.

The movie, starring Akshay Kapoor in the lead role, is a story of an immensely gifted -- mentally, physically and emotionally -- boy, Tejas Rastogi, who has been confined to his house for 18 long years.

The Ashu Trikha directed movie captures the protagonist's coming to terms with reality after he frees himself from confinement.

Kapoor told UNI he did tremendous research for the role and worked very hard.

''I shaved my head, eyebrows and cut my eyelashes with a pair of scissors. Also, I remained locked in my flat for one week to get close to the character,'' he added.
