Wounded CBS journalist flies home to United States
BERLIN, June 7 (Reuters) CBS journalist Kimberly Dozier, wounded in Iraq last month, was flown home to the United States from Germany today and is in a critical but stable condition, the news organisation said on its Web site.
Dozier, 39, had been receiving treatment at a military hospital in Landstuhl after she was injured in a May 29 roadside bomb attack in Baghdad that killed her two British colleagues, cameraman Paul Douglas and soundman James Brolan.
Dozier left from the U S Air Force Base at Ramstein in a C-17 aircraft with about 40 other patients being transferred to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, CBS reported, quoting Air Force Captain Chrystal Smith.
