Wildlife Board considers alternate use of protected areas land
New Delhi, Jun 8 (UNI) Union Minister for Environment and Forests A Raja today stressed the need of judicious application of mind while considering the proposals for utilization of land of protected areas for other purposes.
He was speaking while presiding over a meeting of the Standing Committee of National Board for Wildlife here today.
The committe considered about 21 proposals related to alternate use of land of protected areas.
In the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of Wildlife Conservation.
A few proposals involving construction of bridge over the river, repair of culverts, repair of existing roads and laying of drinking water pipelines were also approved by the Committee.
