ULFA triggers IED blast on railway track
Diphu, June 8 (UNI) Railway track in the Guwahati-Lumding sector was damaged in an ULFA-triggered IED blast yesterday, sources said today.
However, normal traffic was restored today, the sources added.
Railway sources said suspected United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militants detonated the Improvised Explosive Device(IED) at a point between Hawaipur and Lumding at 1100 hours yesterday.
The railway track was partially damaged in the blast.
Trains had to be rescheduled due to the blast with most trains running 8 hours behind schedule yesterday.
