U S still hoping for positive response from Iran
WASHINGTON, Jun 8 (Reuters) The United States still hopes for a positive Iranian response to the major powers' offer of talks and incentives on the nuclear issue, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said today.
At a news briefing, he declined to comment on a U.N.
nuclear watchdog agency (IAEA) report that Iran this week began a fresh phase of uranium enrichment just as the world powers presented its incentive package.
McCormack also said Washington would raise the issue of what it views as Tehran's sponsorship of terrorism in the event negotiations on the nuclear issue take place.
