Three members of Bavaria gang held

Allahabad, June 8 : The jawans of special operation group and Colonelganj police here have arrested three members of Bavaria gang and recovered gold and silver coins and cash from their possession.

The members of the gang had adopted a unique method of cheating the people. they used to roam near banks and other business establishments and used to have close watch on people coming out of the banks and shops.

Police said the gang members used to drop gold and silver coins in front of the people and when a person used to pick-up the coin they bargaining with him. Generally the perons in greed of gold and silver coin used to pay cash to them. The gang members had named this trick ''tapakecajee''.

Coins of gold and silver used by gang members in cheating were fake and gold and silver plated,police said.

Police has recovered 15 gold, 19 silver coins and cash worth seven thousand rupees from their possession. Gang members were active in the districts of Jhansi, Fatehpur and Allahabad besides in Bihar state.
