Saudi coach confident over Al Jaber fitness
BAD NAUHEIM, Germany, June 8: Saudi Arabia captain Sami Al Jaber sat out his side's final warm-up match today but is recovering well from a thigh injury, coach Marcos Paqueta said.
Al Jaber, veteran of three World Cups, trained on his own while his team mates beat Eintracht Frankfurt's B team 8-0 behind closed doors at the nearby Waldstadion.
''It's nothing much,'' Paqueta said at the team hotel. ''He will train with the team on Friday, he's fine.
''Today was a worthwhile exercice for the players,'' added Paqueta who had been expected to field virtually the side that will start against Tunisia in their opening Group H match in Munich next Wednesday.
Al Jaber has scored 43 goals for Saudi Arabia.
