S Korea firm says hostages in Nigeria being released
SEOUL, June 9 (Reuters) Five South Korean workers who had been kidnapped by militants in Nigeria are being released after a militant group promised to free them, a South Korean firm said today.
''Negotiations with the militant groups were successful and all of the five workers are about to return,'' a spokesman for Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co. said by telephone.
Three of the kidnapped South Koreans work for Daewoo while the other two are with Korea Gas Corp. .
