LG announces 2 pc hike in CRT monitor price

New Delhi, June 8: LG Electronics India (LGEIL) has announced a two per cent increase in the price of its CRT Monitors segment owing to the increase in input costs.

''The US dollar rate is on the rise which has resulted in additional costs on imported raw material for CRT monitors,'' LGEIL General Manger (Sales and Marketing), IT Products R Manikandan said.

The hike will be effective from June 16, 2006, a company statement said here.

Earlier this week, the company also increased prices of its refrigerators by 6 per cent.
