Kinetic launches 165 cc 'Blaze' in the Indian market

New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Targeting the 'young at heart' looking for performance bikes, Kinetic Motor today launched its new model 'Blaze' in the Indian market, its first in a series of seven two-wheelers.

The company plans to launch seven such scooter-bikes under the Italiano series in the forthcoming months.

Blaze, a stylish two-wheeler, is a mix of scooter and motorcycle, having powerful four-valve 165 cc engine with 11.6 bhp and a feminine look.

Commonly named motoscooter which the company acquired from Italian two-wheeler major Italjet moto, Blaze offers features like front telescobic socks for extra stability and 12 inch tyre with scientifically designed seats.

Blaze, with long wheelbase of 1495 mm, has a 6 litre fuel tank capacity and gives a milage of 40 kmpl. It has been priced at Rs 49,990 (ex-showroom) in India.

''With Blaze, Kinetic motor brings to India a new technology, which will bring revolution in the two-wheelers' market,'' Kinetic Motor MD Sulajja Firodia Motwani told reporters here.

Designed by famous Italian designer Leopoldo Tartarini, the gearless Blaze would be the right choice for Indian commuters to travel with style, comfort, safety, speed and convenience, she said, adding, ''With the launch of the Blaze, Kinetic is moving to the production of two-wheelers that will be considered as macho and stylish by the young.'' On poor performance of Kinetic group in past couple of years, Ms Motwani said that it could not meet the challenge of low-price bikes coming to the markets, though the company had better products.

With the launch of Italanio series in the country, she claims that the company will overcome and record profit in the business.

The Kinetic group, which has around Rs 2,000 crore total turnover, plans to sell 40,000 Blaze this year, she informed.

The group also plans to explore new export markets, like Africa and, for its Italiano motoscooters, besides US, Canada and Australia, she said.
