KC(M) Stakes claim to RS seat

Kottayam, Jun 8 (UNI) The Kerala Congress(M), a constituent of the United Democratic Front (UDF), today staked its claim for the Rajya Sabha seat from the state.

In a statement here, Party Chairman C F Thomas, MLA, appealed to the UDF leadership to redeem the promise given to the party at the time of discussion on Mr A K Antony's Rajya Sabha seat issue in May 2005.

The party's claim for Rajya Sabha representation was quite reasonable, he said and added the KC(M) was eligible for a seat now.
