Kalam arrives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 8 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam, tonight arrived here by a special IAF aircraft after delay of about two and a half hours.

Dr Kalam, who will stay from the Rashtrapathi Nilayam here, the official residence of the President in South India, was received by Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and speaker K R Suresh Reddy.

Dr Kalam who was scheduled to arrive at 21.35 hours from Pune , landed at 2205 hrs.

In the city, he will attend a workshop on 'Bio-diesel towards Energy Independence', address captains of Industry and also take part in the programmes organised by the Chiranjivi Charitable Trust, before leaving for New Delhi on Saturday.
