India's GAIL seeking 6-10 LNG cargoes in 2006-07
AMSTERDAM, June 8 (Reuters) State-run gas transporter GAIL expects to import 8 to 10 spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes from April 2006 to March 2007, with a capacity of 63,000 tonnes each, its managing director said on Thursday.
GAIL is talking to potential suppliers in Africa, the West and South-East Asia, Proshanto Banerjee told a news conference at the World Gas Conference in Amsterdam.
''The responses has been very positive so far and I believe that we can have those cargoes,'' he said, declining to give details about prices.
