Four Kashmiris to represent India in Bangkok Muay Thai
Srinagar, June 8 (UNI) Four Kashmiri boys have been selected to represent India in the Muay Thai championship in Bangkok.
Hilal Ahmad Rather, Nissar Hussain Dar, Nissar Ahmad Mir and Gul Alamgeer would take part in the Prince Cup to be held in Thailand capital.
The Kashmiri players had earlier participated in seventh Muay Thai championship in Bangalore held from May 27 to 31.
While Rather and Dar had won gold medal in the championship, Mir and Alamgeer had bagged silver.
Muay Thai is referred to as ''The Science of Eight Limbs'' as the hands, feet, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art.
It is an indigenous form of martial art practised in several southeast Asian countries.
