Five injured in grenade blast in Asom

Nagaoan, June 8 (UNI) Five people were injured today when unidentified miscreants threw a grenade into a waiting police vehicle in front of Haibargaon police station in the heart of the Nagaon.

Official reports here said the incident took place at about 1925 hours when the grenade was thrown in by some unidentified miscreants.

One policeman in civil clothes and four marketgoers sustained serious injuries.

They were admitted to Nagaon civil hospital.
