Eight naxals die, 5 nabbed in encounter

Dantewara, June 8 (UNI) Eight naxals were slain and five including two women arrested after a nearly two-hour-long police encounter near this Dewarpalli village in the district this afternoon.

''A sizeable quantity of ammunition was seized from the spot.

The arrested Naxals who were injured in the encounter are being admitted to a hospital at Dornapal,'' said Superintendent of Police Praveer Das.
