Hyderabad, Jun 8 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today directed the Commandant of the Special Armed Reserve Police to appear before it on June 13 with the case diary on the investigations to trace Feroz Khan alias Baba, a police witness in a blast case.

Hearing the case, the division bench comprising Justice Bilal Nazbi and Justice M Venkateshwar Reddy, also appointed Senior Counsel C Padmanabha Reddy as Amicus Curiae to assist the Court on deciding the matter.

Mr Reddy was directed to address the court on the orders to be passed by the Court on matters of this nature.

Feroz Khan alias Baba, a police witness in the Begumpet Task Force Police Station case, had been missing since March 21 this year.

His brother Rafiq filed a habeas corpus writ petition before the High Court seeking the production of his brother.

He apprehended the police might be keeping his brother under their safe custody to make him give deposition before the Court in a manner suitable to them.

Earlier, under the instructions of the court, the Police Department had formed a Special Team under Mr Mohd Iqbal to locate Feroz.

The Bench expressed its dissatisfaction over the failure of the police to produce the case diary.
