BJP demands rollback in fuel price hike
Itanagar, June 8 (UNI) Describing the UPA government's move to hike prices of diesel and petroleum as ''unjustified'', BJP in Arunachal Pradesh today demanded immediate rollback to provide relief to the people.
Party the hike under the pretext of unprecedented rise of oil prices in world market would have a cascading effect on the poor people of Arunachal, who depend on the markets of neighbouring states for oil supplies, a party release said.
Describing the Left Parties' announcement of nationwide agitation over the issue against their coalition partner as ''misleading'', the release said BJP had already called a nationwide agitation against the UPA government's 'anti-people' policy. The state unit members have joined the agitation at Delhi, the release added.
