Amanjyot Singh leads Southern India Junior/Sub Junior Golf

Coimbatore, June 8 (UNI) Amanjyot Singh brought in a card of three-over 75 to continue to lead at six-over 222 in the Category 'A' of the Southern India Junior/Sub Junior Golf Championship here today.

Chandigarh's Rahul Bakshi fired an impressive round of level par to occupy the second place four strokes behind the leader at 226.

In category 'B', overnight leader Chikka Rangappa led the field with a card of eight-over 80 to tally 240 for the event, with Rommel Majumdar placed second, seven strokes behind.

Category 'C' witnessed Ashbeer Singh Saini open up a two-stroke lead from the prodigiously talented Viraat Badhwar. Saini played a brilliant to 79 to tally 247, while Badhwar's aggregate stood at 249.

In category 'D', Abhishek Kumar who was placed third overnight, showed tremendous grit and fighting spirit to fire an 86 and climb to one stroke behind leader Akash Srinivasan who returned a card of 88 today and tallied 176.
