Youth dies in rain-related incident in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, June 7 (UNI) Torrential rains lashed Kheda and Anand districts last evening while one person died in a rain-related incident on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway.

Santosh Raghupal, (22) died when a tree fell on him near Kheda village on the national highway. This led to a traffic jam on the route.

Heavy rains are also expected to occur in Valsad and Surat. The Valsad district administration has already issued a notice to the fishermen instructing them not to venture into the sea between June 10 and August 15.

The warning has been issued considering the heavy rains and storm that could occur during the period.
