Taiwan opposition decides to seek president's ouster
TAIPEI, June 7 (Reuters) Deputies in Taiwan's main opposition Nationalist Party today decided to seek President Chen Shui-bian's ouster over an insider trading scandal implicating his son-in-law, a legislator said.
But analysts said the motion to recall Chen in a parliamentary vote is unlikely to be passed because the Nationalists and the splinter People First Party lack the two-thirds majority needed.
No date was set for the vote. Parliament is currently in recess.
