Retired BSF officer, wife shot dead in Kapurthala

Kapurthala, June 7 (UNI) Retired BSF Deputy Commandant Mohinder Singh and his wife Daljit Kaur were shot dead by unidentified persons in their house near Markfed Chawk here last night, police today said.

The couple were asleep when the armed assailants entered the house from the roof after breaking the iron mesh of a door and killed the couple. However, there was no theft, the police said.

DSP Powar, when contacted, said police was yet to establish the motive behind the murders.
