Possibilty of heavy rainfall in West Bengal: Met office

Kolkata, Jun 7 (UNI) Heavy rainfall is expected in the Gangetic West Bengal in next 24 hours with the early onset of monsoon and formation of a low pressure area over the state, Met Office said here today.

Met sources said there is possibility of heavy showers in other eastern states like Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand also.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.1 degree Celsius, which was three degrees below the normal.

The minimum temperature was 26.4 degree Celsius, one degree below the normal.

Met office said the maximum relative humidity was 94 per cent while the minimum was 64 per cent.

The city experienced 0.8 mm rainfall till 18 hrs.
