Godrej Agrovet forays into Ready to cook segment with 'Yummiez'

New Delhi, June 7 (UNI) Godrej Agrovet Ltd, leader in the processed fresh chicken category, today launched Godrej Yummiez, a new range of ready-to-cook chicken snacks.

The company is entering into the value added chicken snacks segment with four types of product ranges -- Cold cuts, Breaded and Coated snacks, Marinated snacks and Ready Curries.

By foraying into the ready-to-cook snacks category Godrej Agrovet aims to provide consumers with a wide assortment of chicken delicacies in different flavours.

Speaking at the launch, Godrej Industries Ltd Executive Director and President-Marketing Tanya Dubash said, ''The ready to cook segment promises to be a potential growth area as it allows for hassle free cooking, variety of products and more importantly the affordable price point at which it is available.'' Godrej Yummiez is priced at Rs 35 to Rs 42 for 150 gms. It will be available in more than 350 outlets in Mumbai including departmental stores, supermarkets and cold storages.

Godrej Agrovet Ltd belongs to the Rs 5500 crore Godrej Group, and is a leader in the Indian agricultural sector with a large presence in cattle, poultry and aqua feeds, and innovative agricultural inputs.
