Goa Governor summons Assembly to meet from July 10

Written by: Staff

Panaji, June 7 (UNI) Governor S C Jamir has summoned the Goa Legislative Assembly to meet from July 10 to transact the full budget session.

Legislature sources said the session was likely to end on July 31. It might be recalled that Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane had presented a four-month vote-on-account on February 28 last in a short session.

The July session, apart from discussing the budget at length, is likely to introduce bills replacing certain ordinances including the office of profit issue, sources said.

The Business Advisory Committee will meet soon to finalise the agenda for the session.
