Girl child killed, 2 scooterists injured in separate accidents

Dharamshala, June 7 (UNI) A girl child was killed and two people were injured in three separate road accidents in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, police said.

In the first accident, Mukeshwari Devi, a five-year old girl, was killed yesterday on the spot at Jassure on the Pathankiot-Mandi Highway after a truck hit her.

The driver of the truck was absconding after the accident.

A scooterist, identified as Deep Raj, was injured after an unidentified truck hit his scooter at Tanda, near here, police said.

A case has been registered and investigations were on to identify the truck involved in the accident.

In yet another accident, another person was injured after a car hit his scooter at Nainpukhar in the district.

Both the injured scooterists have been admitted to local government hospitals, police said.
